New Year, New Digs

Here goes a new year with some great new staff. So happy to have them on board for the new year! This year I have made the move to Village Manager. I will sure miss the work-site, but I am ready for a new challenge! Luckily I have had time to get to know our new AmeriCorps for the year during orientation and our fun trip to Baton Rouge for the 20th Anniversary of the AmeriCorps program!

On our AmeriCorps Day we got to tour the beautiful, BEAUTIFUL, Louisiana State Capitol. Did I mention it is beautiful? If you are in Baton rouge check it out. The work-site manager in me was awing over the incredible trim and fixtures in the building. A few people from our group made it up to the 27th floor patio to look over the city. Pretty incredible and incredibly far up view. I have to say I was quite nervous.

But by the end of the day we made it to the steps of the Capitol to be sworn into our year of service with 300 other AmeriCorps members from around the state.

Excited for the new year!

A little throw back from last term. Sure will miss the site!
