Kris brings her expertise in community development, food justice, and statewide policy focusing on under-served communities to Project Homecoming. Kris loves New Orleans neighborhoods; and, as a 4th-generation native, Kris loves talking about the common experiences and community assets that make us all tick.In addition to managing several personal renovation projects in Uptown, Bywater, and the Lower Ninth Ward neighborhoods, Kris gained valuable hands-on leadership experience in developing vacant sites into community spaces as founder of Parkway Partners Community Gardens Project in the 90’s.Following Hurricane Katrina, as Executive Director of the New Orleans Food & Farm Network, Kris co-founded the Hollygrove Market & Farm, an innovative community-led food justice start-up.The thing she loves most about the Project Homecoming staff? “Big time fun, combined with a fierce dedication to creating the highest quality affordable housing for citizens of one of the world’s great cities.”
