Young Adult Volunteers Wanted

The Young Adult Volunteer Program of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) offers exciting opportunities in Christian service for young adults (19 to 30 years of age). Young Adult Volunteers serve in communities of need for one academic year (beginning in September). The job descriptions for the volunteers depend both on the needs of our partners and the skills of the Young Adult Volunteer. In their placements, volunteers work with a church or organization as well as develop Christian community and meet regularly for prayer and Bible study with other Young Adult Volunteers. Their year of service includes working closely with mentors in the program, exploration of their Christian vocation and an opportunity to integrate the experience at an end-of-term conference.

Twenty-three Young Adult Volunteers have already served on the Gulf Coast in the last two years. We are looking to expand the program. We are seeking young adults who have a passion to make a difference as they explore what it means to live a life of faith in service.

Potential candidates for the Young Adult Volunteer program are encouraged to contact Gregory Boettner or Amelia Lorenz at 228-547-0822 or greg@yavgulfcoast.org. Interviews for this year’s class of Young Adult Volunteers have begun and will continue until the positions are filled.
